Architectural

  • Reveals and other architectural details complement the adjacent office structure
  • Deep recesses achieve a “punched window” appearance
  • Eight levels, three bays wide provide 1,300 parking spaces
  • Designed for future horizontal expansion, in length and width
  • Top level includes foliage for heat protection and aesthetics

Structural

  • Isolated stair tower allows the deck to move as needed to relieve load stresses and extend its life-span
  • Thicker exterior wall panels maintain deck’s structural integrity while accommodating deep recessed windows
  • Precast, prestressed pieces totaled 977, including tee beams, lite walls, flat slabs, double tees and spandrels

Construction

  • A total of 365,000 sq. ft. of supported structure
  • Tindall coordinated with the FAA for crane clearance during erection
  • Rapid erection reduced crane operation interference with area airport
  • Precast framework erected at an average of 12 pieces daily
  • Even with 4 months of permit delays, the 22-month design-to-completion schedule met owner expectations
