- Reveals and other architectural details complement the adjacent office structure
- Deep recesses achieve a “punched window” appearance
- Eight levels, three bays wide provide 1,300 parking spaces
- Designed for future horizontal expansion, in length and width
- Top level includes foliage for heat protection and aesthetics
Structural
- Isolated stair tower allows the deck to move as needed to relieve load stresses and extend its life-span
- Thicker exterior wall panels maintain deck’s structural integrity while accommodating deep recessed windows
- Precast, prestressed pieces totaled 977, including tee beams, lite walls, flat slabs, double tees and spandrels
Construction
- A total of 365,000 sq. ft. of supported structure
- Tindall coordinated with the FAA for crane clearance during erection
- Rapid erection reduced crane operation interference with area airport
- Precast framework erected at an average of 12 pieces daily
- Even with 4 months of permit delays, the 22-month design-to-completion schedule met owner expectations
